Oscar season is upon us!

Wow, the announcements came early this year--and I've got some catching up to do. So I've already gotten The Departed and Little Miss Sunshine out of the way. I guess I'm going to have to see Dreamgirls, even though DH has no interest as he is anti-Beyonce. I am too, we are just so sick of seeing her everywhere. She is being shoved down our throats at every turn and we're kind of over her, homegirl or not! I also want to finally check out The Devil Wears Prada, and in fact, they're showing it here at Job#2 on the 10th--but I don't know if I'll make it here for that since I'm off that day. What else? Babel? I dunno, sounds a little too dour for my tastes these days. Oh, but I'd love to check out Forest Whitaker in the Idi Amin movie! I've always loved him (Forest, wise guys!) Black Diamond? Maybe, if I can get around to it. The Queen? Eh... no thanks. I've never found the modern royal family to be particularly interesting. Children of Men, yes! Little Children, sure!
