Busy weekend on the horizon

Well, I did not organize a reunion with the "Marital Bed" last night b/c S pulled one of his dirty tricks that he likes to play on me. It goes like this: he'll be on his recliner, covered by his blanket. I will be on the couch, spending quality time with my book du jour. He invites me to join him over on the recliner; I can't resist. But when I get there, I'm doomed for he is so warm that it is only a matter of minutes before I start to doze off. I always murmur sleepily as I start to enter the point of no return, "Why are you trying to get rid of me?" Last night he was being so mean, telling me that as soon as I fall asleep he throws wild parties, with cakes, and ice cream, and pies, and cupcakes, and doughnuts, and cobblers, and fruit tarts, and his friends, and my friends, and I sleep through it all! So last night I was asleep by 10pm.

Maybe he can pull his trick on me tonight. That would be good actually, as I have to go on PATROL at freakin' 6 o'clock am in the freakin' morning! That is b/c the Sgt. wants me to patrol with him. I don't know why he likes to patrol the 6am-2pm shift, it just ain't right. I do have to skip out early though, as I want to attend our homeowner's association meeting which is at 12:30. I like to be involved!

Sunday I have to work. Well, I didn't have to, but I signed up anyway so I can use some comp time next week. Fortunately it's only a short shift of 1-6; unfortunately Sundays tend to be steady business around here.

Today I booked the room for our Mardi Gras party. It's at my beloved Greek restaurant, in the private room. So the theme will be "Greek Mardi Gras." Togas preferred!

M. told us he couldn't go to the wrestling event with us at the end of this month. Lame! He says he has to work. So S got his sales manager at work to take the ticket, which will be fun. That's in a couple of weeks and we are all excited.
Maybe my friend will be there.Miami Beach, Ritz Hotel lobby. January 2006.

Yeah, I can't believe you sleep through those parties. We really tear the place up! Luckily all of the funny things we draw on your face wipe off pretty easily.
