Lovin' In My Baby's Eyes

I know I keep going on about Taj Mahal, but the word on the streets is that Pres. Bush's daughter Jenna and her new husband danced their first song to Taj's "Lovin' In My Baby's Eyes" at their wedding on Saturday!!! Superb taste.

I'm at Job #2 for the next hour. Last week was just wonderful. My b-day dinner was so fun, and vacation on South Padre Island was much-needed and much-enjoyed. Also decadent: we ate some good food down there including Japanese hibachi dinner, blackened shrimp tacos, and even went for ice cream at Dairy Queen! We also had snacks, rum, and leftover birthday cake in the hotel room. Hell's bells, I seriously need to lose about 5-8 lbs. Ok, 5. Now that I'm 36 I can see it's getting harder and harder to stay slim.

But I got the absolute best birthday gift I could have ever asked for: R. surprised the HELL out of me by giving me a CD of the Carolina Chocolate Drops!!! It was brilliant!!! It was perfect!!! I never suspected it!!! She had to send off for it!!! I teared up, I swear!!! It even came with stickers!!! I listened to it on that long drive to Padre and felt so incredibly lucky.

So now I'm back and this week finds my schedule loaded up at a totally unreasonable level, but what else is new. Next week is going to be even more ridiculous. Pic's from vacation, etc., coming as soon as I can get to it! (Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday.)
